Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, found time to praise fellow musician and fashion designer Pharrell Williams on his viral outfit this week.

On Tuesday (Jan. 27), Williams hosted a private dinner commemorating his new Tiffany & Co. Titan Collection, where he wore an LV monogrammed and jaguar-printed fur jacket over a black crocodile skin bomber jacket. Zooming in on the details was Ye, who cropped a picture of Williams posing with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, and posted it on Instagram.

“You know I have my issues with the LV group but I gotta say I love this jacket on jacket on fur on ice combo,” Ye captioned the post about his “Number One” collaborator.

While Williams is currently the men’s creative director at LV, succeeding the late Virgil Abloh, Ye previously sought the designer role years before Abloh died from cardiac angiosarcoma in 2021. In 2013, West called for a boycott (which he later denied) of LV after former CEO Yves Carcelle refused to meet with him. Previously, the rapper-producer, who called himself “The Louis Vuitton Don,” made a sneaker collection with LV in 2009.

Williams was appointed to his role at LV in February 2023, and last month, he debuted his fall-winter 2025 menswear collection with Nigo, artistic director of Kenzo, during Paris Fashion Week.

Ye, who’s had fallouts with Adidas and GAP, owns his brand, Yeezy, which has been active since 2013.
