UPDATE: January 4, 2025—Will Blake Lively attend the Golden Globes 2025? A new report suggests the It Ends With Us star is skipping the awards ceremony alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

On January 4, Deadline reported that Lively and Reynolds are not expected to attend this year’s Golden Globes, nor will Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman, despite their film’s nomination for cinematic and box office achievement.

According to Deadline, their decision to skip was made “well in advance” of the various It Ends With Us lawsuits, with sources claiming the ongoing scandal is not the reason behind their absence.

ORIGINAL STORY—Will Blake Lively attend the Golden Globes 2025? If you had asked me this question last month, after the nominees were first announced, I would have confidently said, “Probably.” Now? I’m not so sure.

While Lively herself is not nominated for any awards this year, her husband’s 2024 blockbuster, Deadpool & Wolverine, is nominated for cinematic and box office achievement. Ryan Reynolds not only starred in the film as Deadpool, he also shared a writing credit and served as one of the executive producers.

It was a family affair, too, as Lively, the couple’s son, Olin, and their eldest daughters, Inez and James, made cameos as Ladypool, Babypool, Kidpool, and “screaming mutant,” respectively.

Lively was incredibly supportive during the rollout for the film, commending Reynolds in a heartfelt post on Instagram and showing up to the film’s premiere in a Ladypool-inspired bodysuit.

The couple have often walked red carpets together, so it certainly wouldn’t be considered out of the ordinary for the 37-year-old to walk the Golden Globes red carpet alongside her beau as his plus-one.
