I’m still sick that I couldn’t get my hands on the banana yellow colorway of Vandy’s recent Asics collab. Every time I see them, they get better. But don’t sleep on the apparel and accessories that dropped as part of the three-way collab between Vandy the Pink, Asics, and Atmos. The fun assortment displays some of Vandy’s signature branding hits beside imagery of delicious milkshakes and banana splits. I’ll be putting this tote to good use on my treks to the office this summer.
Favorite Item:
Shoutout to Dark Phil Knight. I’ve been a fan of his custom sneakers since I discovered them a few years ago, so it is cool to see that he has been able to parlay his signature crocheted items into an entire brand. Distinctive Premium Knits reimagines the classic fitted hat by covering it with a handstitched crochet pattern. Phil, if you’re reading this, I need a Phillies version expeditiously.
Favorite Item:
Khanh Ngo’s NGO (Nothing Grows Overnight) offers subtle flips on the classics, whether that means adding crystals to vintage college crewnecks or adding gemstones to cozy sweatsuits. For any sustainable shoppers out there, many of NGO’s best pieces are upcycled. Personally, I’m not a super flashy dresser, but I do admit that the continuous wave of embellished streetwear has piqued my interest. These pieces offer the perfect balance.
Favorite Item:
Like I mentioned before, I’m not the flashiest dresser. While I still love buying loud vintage tees or bold statement pieces from time to time, I usually gravitate towards pieces that I know will stay in my outfit rotation for years to come. California-based Berlinc fits the bill. The brand offers essentials like sun-faded zip hoodies, baggy canvas pants, stonewashed denim jackets, and more.
Favorite Item:
We Are Righteous’ “Risen King” zip-ups are how most people were likely introduced to the brand. That isn’t the only thing it makes. Its faith-based designs also include tees, polos, and even belts. If you’re aren’t looking for something as loud as its signature all-over print pieces, there’s also subtle gold and silver accessories up for grabs. I always like to keep something on my wrists. I’ll pair this bracelet with the gold crucifix necklace I wear everyday.
