Tom Brady wasn’t the only guy in his family with an expensive watch for Super Bowl LIX, as he gave his son an iced-out timepiece ahead of the major event.
On Monday, the former New England Patriots quarterback posted a video on YouTube recapping his Super Bowl LIX weekend in New Orleans, La. At one part of the video, Brady gave his 15-year-old son Benjamin a diamond-encrusted Jacob & Co.’s Billionaire Mini Ashoka watch, which is reportedly worth an insane $3 million.
“Alright, Benny, close your eyes and put your wrist out. Don’t look,” said Brady before putting the timepiece on Benjamin’s wrist. As his dad put the watch on for him, Benjamin claimed the jewelry felt “shiny.”
Brady told his son to open his eyes, and Benjamin was shocked to see the watch covered in 100 carats of diamonds around the bracelet and bezel. Benjamin’s friends claimed the 15-year-old was now “iced out,” with Brady admitting the watch was “crazy.”
It’s important to note that Brady was seen wearing the same watch during his pre-game commentator duties for Fox alongside former teammate Rob Gronkowski. Although Brady appeared to give the watch to his son as a gift, it’s unclear if that’s the case, especially since only 18 copies of the Billionaire Mini Ashoka have been made.
The NFL legend also wore the Jacob & Co Yellow Sapphire Caviar Tourbillon watch, which retails for $740,000, while making his Super Bowl announcing debut for Fox.
The Yellow Sapphire Caviar is self-winding and has 216 components. It features 224 baguette-cut gems, including 16 in the crown and one large rose-cut gem. The dial also has 130 baguette-cut gems.
