Taylor Swift Is Being Praised For Embracing the Downside of Summer Fabrics in Florida

Since the dawn of time, fashion lovers have been searching for ways to keep their breezy summer outfits from wrinkling without having to drag around a personal steamer. Taylor Swift doesn’t have an answer for ya.

According to USA Today, Swift recently spent time visiting patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital after attending game four of the Stanley Cup finals the previous evening. In multiple photos and videos shared on June 13, Swift can be seen chatting with hospital staff and patients while dressed in Loewe’s sage green cotton blend midi dress featuring extra-long panels that she tied around her waist. She paired the light-weight summer dress with a pair of cognac-colored Louis Vuitton sandals with a block heel and ankle strap.

In one particularly sweet video, Swift introduces herself to a patient before complimenting his hair. “I’m Taylor,” she tells the patient in the TikTok post. “Nice meeting you. I like your hair, that’s so cool.”

Everything about Swift’s latest look was breezy and carefree, from her loose waves and bangs to the way her $2250 dress accumulated wrinkles throughout her visit. In one video of Swift greeting hospital staff, the dress appears pristine—well, as close to pristine as a “crinkled cotton blend” dress can possibly get. However, Swift’s dress shows a lot more wear in a different photo of the singer posing with a young patient.

Many Swifties found the unfussy nature of the look refreshing—and a bit validating. “I know this dress and the other wedding one cost more than my mortgage but I love how ‘normal’ she looks in this and the wedding,” one fan replied to a post by @taylorswiftstyed, referencing a recent wedding Swift attended with Travis Kelce. Another wrote, “Me texting my mom ‘if Taylor Swift can have wrinkles in her dress I can have wrinkles in my dress.’”

While some suggested Swift should seek out a steamer, one user praised the singer for keeping her focus elsewhere. “Y’all she is at a children’s hospital,” the Instagram user commented. “I’m glad there are wrinkles in her dress, it shows she moves around and gets on their level.”

Another wrote, “This dress is sooo cute I didn’t even notice the wrinkles until everyone was mentioning it 😭.”
