Scarlett Johansson just debuted a completely new look which may have some giving the actress a double-take.
The 40-year-old actress was spotted on the set of her upcoming film Paper Tiger on Monday, June 9, looking almost unrecognizable. Johansson’s signature red flowing locks were nowhere to be found, instead, rocking a short, blonde look.
In the new photos, Johansson sported a short and tightly curled blonde hairstyle paired with a casual, retro-inspired outfit. The pics showed her and co-star Miles Teller on set of the film walking out of a home and getting into a vehicle.
In the crime drama, directed by James Gray, Johansson plays a key role in a story about two brothers chasing the American dream while getting tangled with the Russian mafia. She’s set to share the big screen with Teller and Adam Driver.
While fans will have to wait for an official release date, they won’t have to wait long to see Johansson in action. This summer, she’ll appear in Jurassic World Rebirth, which is set to release on July 2. In the film, Johansson is rocking a more natural hair color—a dirty blonde bob that is pulled back most of the film.
In a June 2 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Johansson shared how being part of the Jurassic Park legacy was a dream come true. “I could’ve played it cooler,” she admitted about meeting director Steven Spielberg. “He was excited when I shared with how much it would mean to me to play any part in Jurassic.”
