Fashion designer Raf Simons wants your home to be as sophisticated as his.

Beginning Wednesday (Sept. 18), bids can be placed on his personal art and design collection, titled ‘Design + Picasso Ceramics From the collection of Raf Simons,’ via Piasa Auction. In the catalog are 131 items in total, including rare Picasso-painted vases, Pierre Jeanneret-designed furniture, abstract Pol Chambost ceramics, and Jens Jacob Bregnø sculptures.

Other pieces from the auction are selections from French designer Jean Royère, Swedish furniture designer Axel Einar Hjorth and Swiss-French modernist architect Le Corbusier.

As read in a catalog description, Simons spent the late 1980s as a furniture and design student in Belgium. He’s since spent decades collecting pieces from the aforementioned artists and other designers.

“I am attracted to strong, singular creative makers and the objects that they have brought into the world,” Simons stated. “This auction represents a meaningful selection of my collection, and each piece has played a role in my life. I have lived with these wonderful works over the years, and I am happy to give them a chance for a new home.”

The auction begins Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024 5:00 p.m. at 118 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré 75008 Paris.
