Heidi Klum showed up to the 2025 Met Gala with a jaw-dropping diamond necklace reportedly worth tens of millions.
You can always count on the former Project Runway host to show up anywhere looking extravagant. However, Klum might have outdone herself this time, thanks to an unbelievably expensive accessory.
“It’s a $10-million-dollar stone that’s from Lorraine Schwartz and look, it’s just on a fishing wire,” Klum said on the red carpet, as seen in the Instagram post linked above.
“I keep on touching it, ‘Is it still there?’ What am I going to do if it’s not there?” she added. “I feel like it’s on the floor, people probably think it’s not real.”
In a separate on-site interview with E! News’ Zuri Hall, Klum explained another surprising detail behind her chic look—a custom strapless black gown by Vetements, which was created by creative director Guram Gvasalia.
“It is very simple in a way because it is the fabric that normally suits are being tailored from,” Klum told the network.
“It’s actually very old fabric from 1798,” she added, before explaining that the fabric manufacturer have been “dressing the Pope and everyone from the Vatican” since then.
“I always call the Met Project Runway on steroids in a way,” she quipped. “Anna [Wintour] is kind of me in that sense where she gives an assignment. She has, every year, a theme and all the best designers from around the world have to create something along the lines that go with that theme.”
