‘Don’t F*cking Disrespect My Name’

Famed jeweler Johnny Dang went off on Sauce Walka for getting a new set of grills with someone else.

On Tuesday, Walka debuted what he called the world’s first permanent million dollar grill with the help of celebrity jeweler Jose “Geo” Mata. The literal million dollar smile is reportedly encrusted with 3 carat and 1 carat rose gold diamonds, worth between 20 to 50,000 per tooth, applied to 28 total teeth.

In a video shared by Mata to his Instagram account, Walka is heard saying, “I’m gonna take out Johnny Dangs and put in the Geos.”

“I’m sorry, I’m taking out these and upgrading to these,” said Walka of his former grills designed by Dang. “We went from 100,000 to one million, you know what I’m saying? We setting a bar—the standard in Texas so high, that we cannot be beaten.”

According to a Facebook post from Dang’s official business page, Mata is a former employee of his and abruptly stopped working for him in April 2021.

On Wednesday, Dang uploaded a heated, four-part response to Walka’s new grill.

“Sauce, how long we know each other, man? Over some 20 years, I never gave you shit for free and I never asked for free shit, you know?” Dang said, noting that everyone needs to make money and that he doesn’t have an issue with him making purchases elsewhere.

“I know you just spent money for the grill, it’s all good. But don’t fucking disrespect my name, bro. Can’t do that, don’t do that shit.”

He continued, “ Been busting my ass for over 20 years since I came here from Vietnam. From nothing. I’m not perfect. I’ve been busting my ass every day for years, working hard, playing hard, but I fucking disrespect nobody.”

Dang claims he called Walka to get together for dinner to discuss creating a new grill and even getting into business together.

“I say I always support Houston families, the community, the city where I started from the bottom. It’s all good. You can shop around the world,” Dang added. “You don’t need to put my name in there. But if you mention my name—put some respect on my name.”
