ComplexCon is taking over the Las Vegas Convention Center for the second year in a row. Daniel Arsham is this year’s artistic director. There will also be amazing musical performances to cap off each night from stars like Yeat and Young Thug. The weekend is jam-packed with can’t-miss drops and activations. One of our favorite elements of the ComplexCon floor every single year is our Brands to Watch section.
For the past six years, the program has been the Complex Style team’s way of spotlighting some of our favorite emerging brands and creators that are making waves in the industry and deserve the spotlight. Past installments highlighted brands such as Basketcase, Stolen Arts, Juliet Johnstone, and many more.
This year’s crop of talent consists of five labels from around the world: Couture, Joshua Samuels, 2nd Coat, NYRVA, and Constantinou. Whether you’re after your next statement piece or that new item that will live in your closet for years to come, there’s something here for everyone.
- Couture is a Japanese-born, Los Angeles-based brand that is turning classic fitted hats into luxury items with embellished designs.
- Joshua Samuels is a London-born designer who reimagines vintage garments through upcycling and reconstruction, transforming discarded jeans, military wear, and tees into signature silhouettes like his FO Baggy Tees and Shirts.
- Hailing from Toronto, 2nd Coat is offering up menswear staples with a streetwear twist. Its inventive ideas have included knit polos with removable collars inspired by the Porsche 911 and gradient sweaters that mimic constellations.
- Founded in 2020 by David Minor, NYRVA is a Virginia-born, New York-based brand that has been making waves with its exotic cowhide shorts. The eye-catching pieces have already gotten co-signs from stylish stars like Lil Yachty and Travis Scott.
- Charlie Constantinou hails from London. Collections from his namesake label blend medieval and manga-inspired references with technical functionality. The result is garments that feel both futuristic and grounded.
Each brand will have its own dedicated space in the designated Brands to Watch section on the ComplexCon floor to sell exclusive products and introduce guests into their respective worlds. Make sure to stay tuned to Complex Style throughout this week as we dive deeper into each brand.
