ComplexCon was absolutely loaded with sneaker drops and unforgettable moments throughout the weekend, ranging from the first release of the Undefeated x Nike Air Max 95, to Nigel Sylvester’s surprise Sneaker of the Year appearance. In case you weren’t with us in Vegas, here’s a list of everything footwear-related that you missed.

The Craziest Sneaker Boxes of All Time
A lot went down during the ComplexCon Sneaker of the Year panel, including: Fat Joe declaring the Nike Vomero Plus a sneaker designed by Jesus Christ, Brendan Dunne getting torched for StockX selling fake sneakers, Upscale Vandal debuting Pharrell’s takedown version of the Adidas Jellyfish—the Squid, Matt Welty talking about the Air Max 95’s BBL in 2025, and Vashtie calling the Awake NY Air Jordan 5 a perfect shoe. To pretty much no one’s surprise though, Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick” took home the coveted crown with pretty much no pushback from the audience. In celebration, the Queens native had a special surprise for ComplexCon…
After the Sneaker of the Year announcement, Sylvester popped up on the auditorium screen to thank Complex, his team, and all of his supporters. He hopped out of a truck and said he’d be parking it right outside the convention center in 15 minutes, with some surprises. Chaos ensued, and the entire hall rushed downstairs. Sylvester pulled up 10 minutes later with a megaphone, 2025 Sneaker of the Year tees, and a geo-located Nike SNKRS Stash restock of the Bricks. The energy was crazy; the community was involved, and it genuinely seemed like a lot of people successfully copped. it was the perfect feather in the cap of the Brick rollout.
Similar to last year’s Circus Maximus presence, Nike took over the middle of the ComplexCon with an enormous soccer stadium setup. This time around, it relied on three of its key collab partners: Undefeated, Atmos, and Kids of Immigrants. Undefeated debuted its upcoming Air Max 95 collab, selling a limited run of the black pair on Saturday, and the same amount of the Sail version on Sunday. Of course, we’d all seen the Black iteration ahead of the festival, but during the afternoon on Saturday, Lil Yachty pulled up to the booth to unveil and announce the “Sail” version. That wasn’t all from the rapper either, as he signed and gave away a limited run of his Concrete Boys Air Force 1s—the number 8 entrant on our Sneaker of the Year list. Also, Atmos dropped only release of the Harujuku Air Max 95 taking place outside of Asia, and Daniel Buezo and KOI gave back to the community with a limited giveaway of the “Moonlight” Nike Sunder Max. Finally, Nike and Zellerfeld returned with the world premiere of the 3D printed Air Max 95000. Even Yeat got in on the action, debuting his first ever collab with Nike on the Goadome. He pulled out a white pair for his Day 1 headlining set while each of his friends from the set popped out in the black pair that dropped at the stadium.
Early on Saturday morning, Peso Pluma returned to Sneaker Shopping for the second time—this time live from the ComplexCon floor at the RIF LA booth. Peso and JLP garnered an insane crowd even though it was 11 am. Hundreds of spectators were on hand to watch the Mexican sensation cash out for over $35,000 on pairs for himself and his entire band. His pickups ranged from a never-before-seen Air Jordan 3 “El Vuelo” sample to Off-White “Chicagos.” JLP also hooked it up with pairs of the new Air Max 95000 and Undefeated Air Max 95.
The Adidas Superstar return continued with a number of collaborative drops from noteworthy partners. Edison Chen’s Three Stripes project rolled on with a patchwork version of his jagged Clot Superstar, Thug Club brought its signature aesthetic to the Vegas floor, and Hellstar x Adidas made their partnership known for the very first time. In other Adi news, The Clipse debuted a brand new blue colorway of the Jellyfish—the number 4 entry on our list.
One of the more notable activations/drops from Day 1 was the city pack trio of Air Jordan 11s. Using three enormous trucks and three city-specific celebs, the Jumpman dropped the AJ 11 “285,” “Mojave,” and “H-Town.” At 10 am, Duke Dennis repped the ATL with a truck parked right out front of the convention center—a purchase of the “285” came with a VIP ticket upgrade. Two hours later, Maxx Crosby pulled up to his truck to drop the all-purple “Mojaves.” Finally, Slim Thug put on for Houston outside at Family Style with a 4 pm drop of the final AJ11 selection of the weekend.
It’d be impossible to list every sneaker highlight of ComplexCon 2025, but other notable moments included:
- BBC Ice Cream, Reebok, and Don Toliver brought back the legendary Board Flip.
- Not only did Jae Tips have a wild “Savior Island” booth, he also released his ComplexCon-exclusive “Poison Ivy” Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 collab.
- Vans had some of the longest lines of the weekend, dropping a number of noteworthy Old Skools.
- Is it even ComplexCon if Hidden x ASICS don’t have a presence?
- Salehe Bembury had an enormous museum with all of his collaborative work in the middle of the floor, leading to a release of his own Sponge sneaker.
- Steven Smith and Crocs brought the brand new Ripple silhouette to the desert.
