Nike appears to be bringing back another classic Kobe colorway soon, as leaks of a “Lower Merion Aces” Kobe 5 Protro have surfaced.
A newly leaked image from @Sneaker_sample on Instagram shows what’s expected to be the Protro version of the “Lower Merion Aces” colorway from 2010. The makeup references the team colors of Kobe Bryant’s Lower Merion Aces high school alma mater, featuring a combination of maroon and metallic silver throughout the shoe. The original ’10 release also incorporated the Aces logo on the heel, but it isn’t clear from the leaked photo if this version also has the identical branding.
It’s worth mentioning that a “Lower Merion Aces Home” colorway was also made in 2010. This colorway featured white-based blocking and maroon accents on the upper’s Swoosh logos.
There are currently no official release details available for the “Lower Merion Aces” Kobe 5 Protro, but the sneaker is slated to hit retailers sometime next year. Check back soon for updates.
