The release for the SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 may be delayed after shipments of the much-anticipated collab were reportedly stolen.

SoleFly confirmed to Complex that pairs of its unreleased Air Jordan 3 collab were nabbed by thieves while in transit to Nike’s distribution center in Memphis, Tennessee, but a specific number of pairs wasn’t disclosed. The Miami-based sneaker boutique also confirmed that Nike is investigating the incident and that the situation could possibly delay the launch of the sneaker project.

“Multiple pairs of the SoleFly Jordan 3s and their boxes were stolen while in transit to Nike’s Memphis distribution center. Nike, Inc. is currently investigating the situation. Unfortunately, this incident may impact the timing of the planned release,” SoleFly said in a statement to Complex. “All of the pairs out there right now are stolen.”

The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 was officially unveiled in August during the Miami Hurricanes’ season opener game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The sneaker was worn by SoleFly founder Carlos Prieto and various Hurricanes legends at the game.

Check back soon for new developments on the investigation as we learn more from the collaborators in the coming weeks.
