JD Sports Opens Its Largest Store on Bourke Street Mall

It’s official, the JD Sports new flagship store on Melbourne’s famous Bourke Street Mall is open for business.

Last Wednesday night, an exclusive launch event brought together local cultural heavyweights including Moses, Taktix, Nabio and Miko Mal, along with a few hundred excited customers. A DJ set from Ōlita kept the energy high and the vibes right.

Spanning two levels, the Bourke Street store is now the largest JD Sports location in Australia.

This latest jewel in JD Sports’ retail crown features exclusive drops from Nike, Adidas, New Balance and ASICS. Shoppers can also explore two interactive activations and browse an extensive range of the latest releases.

Unveiled at Wednesday night’s party and continuing through opening weekend, Stanley’s custom cup space gave customers the chance to customise their own Stanley Cup. JD x Nike’s interactive ‘Vault’ installation was giving away pairs of the OG Neon Nike Air Max 95s, Syna World Nike Tech fleece and tons of other Nike gear.

It’s safe to say JD Bourke Street opened with a bang. But don’t worry, if you couldn’t get down to take part in the weekends celebrations, there are still plenty of mid-year sales offering the chance to grab the latest drops from your favourite brands, including Nike, The North Face, Mercier, Adidas, Puma, On Running, and more.
