‘Doernbecher’ Chipotle x Nike Air Force 1

In addition to Oli Fasone-Lancaster’s food-inspired Air Force 1 releasing as part of this year’s Doernbecher collection, Nike has also collaborated with Chipotle to create a special iteration exclusively for the young patient.

Fasone-Lancaster received his cancer diagnosis when he was only in kindergarten, which required five rounds of chemotherapy at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. At the end of his treatments, Fasone-Lancaster would typically enjoy a Chipotle burrito bowl. To commemorate that tradition, Nike tapped Chipotle to create a custom Air Force 1 Low made just for Fasone-Lancaster.

This Chipotle x Nike Air Force 1 features a white and metallic silver upper inspired by the restaurant chain’s burrito bowl packaging, while the neon green accents reference the guacamole that Fasone-Lancaster adds to every order. The standout design element is the text, “Oli’s Order #572,” printed on the heel tab as a nod to the 572 laps he walked in the oncology inpatient unit.

As previously mentioned, this Chipotle x Nike Air Force 1 Low was made exclusively for Fasone-Lancaster. There is another version of the shoe hitting SNKRS and select retailers this winter.
