ASICS has been pushing performance for more than 75 years. From their earliest days making athletic and basketball shoes to the first use of GEL in 1986, the brand’s approach has always been guided by the philosophy behind its name: a sound mind in a sound body.
Then, in 2015, they went bold. After 3 years of development at the company’s Kobe headquarters, ASICS dropped the GEL-Quantum 360. Designed not for the track, but for the future, it was the first shoe to feature visible Gel technology throughout the entire midsole.
Made to signal the next generation of running shoes, the GEL-Quantum 360 was rapidly embraced by the streets for their look and comfort. Now, a decade later, it’s back. The GEL-Quantum 360 1 returns in its original form, upgraded with FF BLAST+ Foam, Jacquard mesh for breathability, and a heel counter featuring the same graphic as the original.
The reissued GEL-Quantum 360 1 marks the first phase of the anniversary rollout, with the sleeker GEL-Quantum 360 5 and the GEL-Quantum 360 8 OG also dropping. Embossed editions of the GEL-Quantum 360 8 are available now too, so be sure to check them out.
ASICS has always stood at the intersection of heritage and innovation and the GEL-Quantum 360 continues this legacy.
