Anwar Carrots has been announced as the creative director for a new premium line from K-Swiss.
In Anwar’s own words, the line, dubbed K-Swiss Racquet Club (KSRC), is not merely a collaboration.
“I’m contributing to the rebirth of a legacy,” Anwar said in a statement shared with Complex. “It’s always part of my vision to align with heritage brands that have real roots. My role now is about bringing heritage, culture, and clean white tennis shoes straight from my creative garden.”
Launching July 10, KSRC will be released in four seasonal drops, each featuring premium takes on familiar K-Swiss silhouettes, as well as all-new looks. Featured in the inaugural drop are the archival Before the Classic silhouette, the reworked 2000s runner Konejo, the updated Classic 66, an “evolved version” of the SI-18 International C, and more. The Kraft silhouette, meanwhile, is a new one from the mind of Anwar.
“I had to take it back — I placed my mind in 1998, back to being 8 years old in Orlando, Florida,” Anwar said when detailing the creative process behind the premium line. “My dad used to rock K-Swiss heavy, and the way he’d coordinate his outfits with a fresh white pair was always clean to me. That memory is what shaped this collection.”
A five-day activation is set for Big Shot Coffee in Paris starting June 21. Below, get a closer look at the new pieces from Anwar and K-Swiss.
