Coty Infiniment, which launched this year with 14 fragrances, does away with the traditional scent pyramid in favor of new technology called the molecular aura. Basically, the brand has figured out a way to create scents that don’t evolve, so what it smells like when you first spray it on your skin is how it’s going to smell hours from now. (It also helps with the longevity of the scent.) Out of the 14 scents, our favorites are Aristo Chypre, a verdant, earthy, somewhat-traditional chypre; Noir Encens, a smoky, woody cologne with a pop of black pepper; and Santal A La Vida, which has a creamy, slightly sweet sandalwood vibe.
