1Password makes juggling all your private information simple: instead of remembering every password for every site, you just create one really strong password to unlock 1Password—and it handles the rest. The Individual plan has everything you need to store all your login info, plus credit card info and even bank account info, so your most important details are in one place when you need them.

One great feature is 1Password’s Watchtower, which gives you a score (think of it like a credit score) based on how safe your data is and your overall password strength. It also flags practical issues you can fix fast, like how many reused passwords you have, how many weak passwords are floating around, and which accounts are missing recovery codes.

Day to day, 1Password is built for convenience across all your devices where you’re logged into your 1Password account. With the browser extensions set up, it can automatically sign you into accounts and automatically fill in credit card info on any device. It also generates strong passwords and passkeys for you and automatically saves them—so you never have to think about (or memorize) a string of random characters again. And if you need to share a password or other info with a family member, you can create a vault or use expiring links to share it safely.

On the security side, 1Password uses end-to-end encryption and AES-GCM-256 authenticated encryption, making the data you entrust to it effectively impossible to decrypt. Your account password is never stored alongside your 1Password data or transmitted over the network, so no one can know or access it besides you. It also includes auto-lock, so 1Password can automatically lock to help keep your data protected when you step away from your desk or close your laptop.

It comes at a great price for everything you get: The Individual annual plan is $2.99 a month, or $4.99 monthly if you prefer month to month. A Family plan (up to five family members) costs $4.49 a month on an annual plan. For work, there’s a Business plan at $7.99 a month, plus a Teams Starter Pack for up to 10 users at $19.95 a month. So basically, 1Password has a plan for whatever you need. Oh, and new customers can get their first year at a discounted price when choosing an annual plan.
