Like with any category on the gargantuan e-tailer, the best sheets on Amazon can range from simple, affordable sets to surprisingly luxurious options. The online hub might not be your go-to spot when it comes to bedding, but just like its vast inventory, that might change. The biggest draw? Two-day Prime shipping on GQ-favorite brands like Brooklinen, Sijo, and Boll & Branch—plus, some under-$100 finds exclusively from smaller labels.
So, no matter which fabrics you like to snooze on—whether it’s crisp percale cotton, cooling linen, or silky sateen—Amazon’s wide selection of sheets has you and your bed covered. In fact, we slept on a few top-reviewed sheets of all price ranges, colors, and materials to decide what’s actually worth adding to your next Amazon haul. The following Amazon sheets cater to all kinds of budgets and preferences: cooling sheets for our year-round sweaty sleepers, toasty sets for those who love to bundle up, organic threads for eco-conscious consumers, and more. (We even plucked a couple crowd-pleasing sets that were made for guest rooms.) Read on and stock up on some worthwhile bedding, below.
The Best Sheets on Amazon, at a Glance:
The Best Sheets on Amazon, Overall
A sheet set’s charm lies in its weave. Sateen, for example, achieves its signature thick and silky texture with a looser one-yarn-under-four stitch—which makes sense why Brooklinen’s 4-piece set feels like it will last me a lifetime. In comparison to the brand’s crisp and cozy percale set that I tried a few months ago, these sheets deliver a smooth and cool feel. I noticed that they pair well with my heated blanket because the threads breathe rather than suffocate and trap heat. I’d call Brooklinen’s Sateen Sheet Set a major crowd-pleaser and therefore, a guest room hero. It’s the perfect median between cuddly cotton and slippery bamboo fabric. Also, the pillowcases have a snug envelope fit unlike some queen sets that are oversized and loose. The main con is the limited colorways available on Amazon—but, on the bright side, most of the colorways that are available are currently on sale.
The Best Budget Sheets on Amazon
Even before testing, the obvious pro about these sheets is the price tag. Just $30 for a set of sheets is not unheard of, but a tad suspicious. However, Mellanni’s sheets were undeniably cozy and the softest set on this list. Their material, microfiber, is one of the most affordable bedding fabrics as it’s synthetic, but also quite popular because of its soft feel and durability. In my experience, cheaper sheet sets occasionally skimp on size, but the flat covered my queen mattress seamlessly with a little room left over. The terracotta color was a bit more brown than I expected, but I still loved the color. Overall, Mellanni makes a solid set of $30 sheets. The main con, as with most microfiber sheets, was the stuffiness. Microfiber is cozy and warm, but at a sacrifice: It traps heat. Keep this set in your closet for winter or if you’re a cold sleeper.
The Best Linen Sheets on Amazon
If you don’t play around about linen fabric, then run to Amazon for these Sijo sheets. I didn’t find these sheets soft when I took them out of the package—in fact, I could see and feel every thread and couldn’t get past how substantial the linen fabric felt. This is a great thing, however, because they softened up tremendously after a round in the washer. In my opinion, authentic linen sheets should be a bit rough upon receiving because they’re meant to relax over time—and, therefore, last you a while. The fit on my bed was also great, and there was no smell upon opening. (Bonus: Its fitted sheet had “top/bottom” tags to help you dress your bed correctly.) They’re the most expensive set on this list, but if linen is your number one bedding fabric, then it’s worth the investment. They were a bit rugged, but super breathable and cool all night long.
The Best Cooling Sheets On Amazon
If there’s one thing I now know about Sijo, it’s that this bedding brand has the range. This Tencel set was a complete 180 from the brand’s linen sheets—I’m talking silky and supple threads right out of the package. (This is to be expected of Tencel, a semi-synthetic fabric derived from wood pulp, but I was still impressed.) For people who enjoy that rustic linen experience, these sheets are not for you. But for those who yearn for quality silky sheets that keep you cool in sweltering weather, then look no further. Aside from just the feel, the sheen and rich color were also a major plus. In terms of cons, I will say these are a bit on the thinner side. But other than that, I adored these sheets.
The Best Hotel-Like Sheets on Amazon
Boll & Branch brings the hotel to your home with these luxurious sheets. This organic fabric was thick, silky, and a joy to sleep on. Higher-end brands like Boll & Branch know how to make cozy sheets that don’t trap heat or cause friction throughout the night. My night’s sleep was warm but breathable and I loved sinking my face into my pillows that had lovely stitching on the flaps. Similar to Brooklinen, my only con is the available colorways on Amazon. That being said, I can definitely overlook a slightly drab color when sheets feel that nice.
The Best Bamboo Sheets on Amazon
If you’ve ever hunted for affordable bedding on Amazon, odds are you came across a Bedsure product or two. The brand is famous for its low price points and extensive five-star reviews. Bedsure’s $51 Cooling Sheet Set, crafted from Oeko-Tex-certified bamboo rayon, has 57,024 Amazon ratings and a 4.4-out-of-5-star score. According to on-site reviews, the set is super soft, cooling, lightweight, and airy, and my experience was comparable. Unfortunately, they were up against high-end sheets priced in the triple digits, so I can’t rave as hard as I do for the others, but for $51 these sheets should be in everyone’s bedding collection. What they lack in GSM and liquid silkiness, they make up for in crisp, cooling fibers and value. They kept me cool the whole night and the pillowcases were particularly lovely to lie on. (TMI: I noticed that my skincare products would lightly stain some of the shinier sheets, so I loved waking up to a clean, chilled pillowcase.) Plus, the lavender color is exactly as pictured on site and has quite a charming sheen to it. Overall, this set is a great cost-effective buy that’s worthy of their hype.
The Best Percale Sheets on Amazon
I didn’t get a chance to try out Lane Linen’s organic set, but with a 4.3-out-of-5-star score and 20,000+ ratings on Amazon, they’re worth a mention. For under $50 you get 100% organic cotton sheets with deep pockets and, per many on-site reviews, breathable threads. Specifically, one customer writes, “Slept in them for the first time last night and I love them! They feel sturdy yet soft. Not too thick or thin. I didn’t feel overheated. I am definitely buying more in different colors. For the price, these are a good sheet and I’m so happy I took a chance on them.” Another claims they get softer with every wash: “These sheets are so soft on the skin, straight out of the package and they get softer and softer as you wash them. 100% cotton is the way to go in getting a goodnights rest. These sheets are breathable. Also deep pockets, stays in place sheets are a great quality plus super affordable.”
The Best Flannel Sheets on Amazon
Any hot sleeper would wince at the thought of flannel sheets on their bed, but true cozy connoisseurs understand the beauty of a toasty night’s sleep—and flannel sheets, especially Eddie Bauer’s, will give you just that. Flannel, often associated with the great outdoors and lumberjacks, is a medium-weight cotton fabric with a signature fuzzy finish. Flannel sheets are designed to retain warmth and are perfect for winter. I didn’t test out Eddie Bauer’s set but, according to reviews, they’re some high-quality sheets thanks to the deep pockets, wrinkle-resistant fabric, and, of course, cozy nature. One Amazon reviewer writes, “My daughter loves these. They are really high quality sheets-super warm and cozy. The pattern is very cute and they fit perfectly on her bed. She gets cold at night and doesn’t like slippery cool sheets so these were the perfect solution and honestly a great value for the price!”
What to look for when shopping for sheets
Sheets can cost you a pretty penny, but just like anything you’re bound to use everyday for years, they’re a worthy investment. When you’re shopping for bedding on Amazon, here are some things to keep in mind so you don’t get lost in the sites web of third-rate offerings:
Your all-star bedding fabrics are cotton and linen. Whether it is a crisp percale weave or silky sateen, cotton is breathable, safe on skin, and durable. The same goes for linen, a long-lasting fabric derived from the flax plant. Second, would be your semi-synthetic materials like Tencel. These often provide a luxurious silkiness at a lower price, plus they have hypoallergenic and cooling properties. Microfiber, a synthetic fabric formed through chemical processes, should not be a priority when buying quality sheets—but, it never hurts to have a set in your closet when guests come to visit or when your go-to sheets are in the wash.
You can return most Amazon products 30 days from the delivery date. And make sure to checkout bedding brands’ home sites (i.e. Brooklinen, Boll & Branch, etc.) for information on warranties as Amazon does not offer them on all products.
Take Amazon reviews with a grain of salt. If you know you know, Amazon customers have strong opinions on products and more often than not review to complain, not compliment. Sift through as many as you can, both the good and the bad, before you make your decision.
