Vans is reworking one of its most recognizable graphics with the LX Authentic 44 EK “Punk Check,” and it’s available to shop on Complex now.
The checkerboard pattern has been a signature of Vans since 70s, appearing on everything from the Slip-On to countless collaborations over the decades. This new release takes that classic graphic and reimagines it with a textured knit construction, trading the traditional canvas for a breathable woven upper that adds depth and dimension to the familiar black-and-white squares.
The “Punk Check” pack includes multiple colorways that stay true to the checkerboard DNA while pushing it forward. The red-and-blue and green-and-navy options bring fresh energy to the timeless pattern.
