Nike’s Air Max line has birthed some of the most iconic silhouettes in the history of sneakers, which even prompted the brand to create a holiday to celebrate the line with Air Max Day, observed annually on March 26.
Since its inception in 1987 with the release of Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 1, to the present day with the arrival of the Air Liquid Max, there have been an exorbitant number of Air Max releases, from inline colorways to coveted collaborations. But how do they fare in the secondary marketplaces?
Coinciding with Air Max Day this year, StockX has shared with Complex its 10 most sold Air Max styles in its company history, and the results may be surprising to some. There are certainly a few cult classic iterations in this small group, but a majority of the pairs sold are simple GR colorways of classic Air Max models. It’s also worth mentioning that the average resale prices of the sneakers listed below are from the last three months, which StockX provides on each of the listings.
