ASAP Rocky and Margaret Qualley were spotted shooting a Chanel commercial in New York City this week, complete with a depiction of a marriage proposal.
As seen in paparazzi photos, plus several video clips shared by @mickmicknyc, the shoot took place in NYC on Tuesday, Oct. 28. In one clip, Rocky is seen kneeling and proposing to a surprised Qualley, who promptly celebrates the Chanel-promoting moment.
Additional footage shows the use of breakaway fabric on Rocky, who at one point offers a “pardon me” to someone out of frame.
“Oh, shit,” Rocky is heard saying. “Pardon me. Can we do it over?”
While details on the apparent Chanel spot hadn’t been made public as of this writing, Complex has reached out to reps for the French fashion house for more information. This story may be updated.
Qualley has history with Chanel, having previously starred in its “The Button” short film last year. The short, marking a collaboration with pgLang, featured music by Kendrick Lamar.
Qualley, whose 2025 slate includes Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon and more, is married to producer and songwriter Jack Antonoff. Rocky, meanwhile, shares three children with his partner Rihanna, telling Complex’s Mike DeStefano earlier this month that their daughter Rocki Irish is his “favorite thing” he’s created this year.
As fans await the release of his long-teased new album Don’t Be Dumb, Rocky has been steadily adding to his filmography with roles in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest and Mary Bronstein’s If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. For the former, Rocky earned a Gotham Film Awards nomination.
Among the other rising film stars nominated in the Breakthrough Performer category this year is Chase Infiniti, who has earned universal acclaim for her turn in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another.
