Bella Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, has written a heartbreaking letter to the supermodel, as she continues to struggle at the hands of Lyme disease.

On Thursday (September 18), Yolanda took to her Instagram to share a handful of photos of Bella in the hospital. “You are relentless and courageous,” she wrote alongside them. “No child is [sic] suppose to suffer in their body with an incurable chronic disease.”

She continued: “I admire your bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the failing protocols and countless setbacks you have faced.”

Yolanda also has Lyme disease, as does her son Anwar Hadid, writing that she tries “to lead by example on our Lyme journey but my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer.”

Yolanda’s note came a day after Bella shared since-deleted photos of herself in the hospital. “I’m sorry I always go MIA. I love you guys,” Bella reportedly captioned the images.

“There simply aren’t words big enough for the darkness, the pain, and the unknown hell you’ve lived through since your diagnosis in 2013. You didn’t really live, you learned how to exist inside the jail of your own paralyzed brain,” Yolanda continued, adding that Bella has been enduring treatments for a month.

Bella’s older sister, Gigi Hadid, commented on her mother’s post, writing: “I love you! I hope feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!” (via TMZ).

Lyme disease is transmitted through tick bites. Symptoms include joint pain, extreme fatigue, memory loss, heart palpitations, recurring skin rashes, and more. Other celebrities that reportedly have it include Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Osbourne and Shania Twain.
