Plenty of streetwear brands come across our desk every single week. A lot of them look like everything else on the market right now. Some of them stand out from the rest of the pack. This week, Art Community, AZVA, and Fait Par Lui caught our attention. Art Community does it big. No, seriously. All of its pieces are extremely oversized. It’s a refreshing take on timeless silhouettes like poplin shirts and denim jeans. The best part, everything is executed in premium materials like Japanese denim in the brand’s Los Angeles factory. We’re especially excited by its Triptych pants. The super baggy style boasts a ballooning shape, double-pleated front panels, and button placements that allow you to customize the fit of the pants in multiple ways. The brand truly is treating its clothes like works of art.

AZVA, or Cactus Valley, offers up the best of both worlds. It merges trendy streetwear designs with a slice of classic Americana. The results are collections filled with pieces like baggy jeans covered in gas station-inspired logo patches and faded sweatsuits with embellished details. Justin Bieber was just rocking its shorts too, so we only expect AZVA’s profile to keep rising in the near future.

“Fait Par Lui” is a French phrase that translates to “Made By Him.” The “him” in this equation is Charles Oliver Williams. The Los Angeles-based designer is making high quality staples with thoughtful details that help set them apart from other brands’ offerings. They can be off-centered buttons on a henley or a perfectly placed rip on the bill of a cap. The best example is a pair of faded grey jeans that feature sections screenprinted with subtle zebra stripes and leopard spots.
