2025 Met Gala: Who’s Expected to Attend?

The 2025 Met Gala is set to hit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 5, bringing with it a roster of top-tier talent culled from every corner of pop culture. This year’s co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, ASAP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour. LeBron James, meanwhile, has been tapped to serve in an honorary chair capacity, though these names are far from the only ones set to make undoubtedly memorable appearances under the 2025 theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

Doechii, André 3000, Simone Biles, Grace Wales Bonner, Dapper Dan, Ayo Edebiri, Regina King, Spike Lee, Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, Usher, and more have also been announced as Host Committee members.

But who else is expected to show up? The actual list of attendees, of course, is not publicly disclosed or otherwise confirmed. Still, that hasn’t stopped Page Six and other publications from speculating. Below, we take a look at some of the other big names reportedly set to be on hand for 2025 Met Gala proceedings.

Rihanna

Rihanna has made multiple appearances over the years, and with Rocky as co-chair this year, it seems like a safe bet to assume that she’ll be back.

Lauryn Hill

Page Six’s sources said that Lauryn Hill would be in attendance on Monday after being invited by Pharrell.

Adam Scott

The Severance star would be a perfect fit for the 2025 edition.

Madonna

Madonna was among the names most recently floated as expected attendees. Like others on the list, this wouldn’t mark Madonna’s first time.

Diana Ross

Diana Ross will reportedly be attending with her daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, and son, Evan.

Lorde

Fresh off launching a new era, Lorde is expected to continue her resurgence with a Met Gala appearance.

Caleb McLaughlin

Ahead of the premiere of the final batch of new Stranger Things episodes, Caleb McLaughlin is expected to attend. It’s unclear if he’ll be joined by other Stranger Things alumni, though that seems likely.

Stevie Wonder

The legendary musician is also set to make an appearance on Monday.

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett, soon to be seen in the latest Mission: Impossible, will reportedly be in attendance.

Shaboozey

After a breakthrough year, Shaboozey is continuing his streak—or, at least, he’s expected to be doing so—by taking part in this year’s Met Gala.

Paige Bueckers

In their pre-event coverage, Page Six suggested that the full list of 2025 Met Gala attendees boasts a strong presence of athletes, Paige Bueckers among them.

Shakira

The sustaining star power of Shakira will reportedly be on full display for Monday’s event.

Chris Rock

The comedian and actor is speculated to be a confirmed attendee. Rock has attended in the past.

Sarah Snook

The Succession actress recently received widespread critical acclaim for her performance in The Picture of Dorian Gray, making her an especially ideal choice for the 2025 Met Gala.

Demi Moore

Fresh off an Oscar-nominated performance in The Substance, Demi Moore is expected to be making her Met Gala return.

Walton Goggins

For an all-too-brief period of 2025, Max subscribers were treated to Double Goggins Sundays thanks to the overlapping rollouts of new episodes of The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones. The latter is set to air its series finale this Sunday, just one day prior to the 2025 Met Gala.

Jimmy Fallon

The Tonight Show host, at least according to certain sources, will be making a Met Gala walk this year.

Mary J. Blige

Mary J. Blige, also a previous Met Gala attendee, will reportedly be returning to the event this year.

The fencing star and three-time Olympian is expected to be part of this year’s stacked athletes lineup.
